Ik kan de categorieën in de lijst contactpersonen niet bewerken. De adressen en personen zelf kan ik wel bewerken.

Categorieën is een probleem in Outlook,

Deze worden lokaal op uw PC bijgehouden.

Er is standaard geen centraal beheer.

Je kan de categorieën bekijken die bij de contactpersonen horen, maar bij het beheer van categorieën gebruik je je lokale categorieën.

Je kan wel de categorieën exporteren en importeren.

Je werkt dan wel met lokale copieën, zodat het beste is af te spreken wie de categorieën beheert, en die persoon doet dan af en toe een export, waarbij de andere dan een import kan doen.

Export/import kan je doen met een programma.

Je doet export van cat. bij uw collega en je importeert die bij jou.

Category Importer

Want the same Master Category List in Outlook on different PCs? This free utility, Category Importer for Outlook, exports your Master Category List (MCL) to a text file that you can easily import on another PC. Click here to download its installation file (MSI format, 1.3 MB).

Once the utility is installed, click on the CatImport icon on your desktop. First click on Options in the menu (see above) and select your version of Outlook. Then, press the Export button to save the MCL to a text file or press the Import button to load the MCL from a file. Note that importing an MCL completely replaces any existing MCL.

CatImport also supports the following command-line parameters for scripting :
/import <file>: imports the MCL from the specified CSV file;
/export <file> : exports the MCL to the specified CSV file;
/version <version> : specify 2002 or 2003 as the version, defaults to 2002;
/help : displays the help screen.

For Outook 2002/XP and Outlook 2003 on Windows XP/Vista. Can be uninstalled through Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs.
